Our start is over 10 years ago.
We had a sheer chance to set up our atelier in Shonai town.
In those days some regional promotions called ‘sixth-order industry’ were conducted so we came to join the project.

The theme of product development is ‘what Shonai has.’
There is nature and culture, but Shonai has a wide variety of ingredients, referred to as ‘capital of gourmet’ as well.
After all, we can say rice first.
Vast paddy fields spreading all over first come in sight, visiting Shonai.

We regard it as its identity which supports this community.

But rice production volume is declining recently. Hence we have been thinking not only to eat rice as staple food but also to value it differently, and whether we can help to improve rice production volume we did what little we could.

We started creating recipes in the night kitchen. To be honest we thought it easy but the reality is not so simple – A lot of studies, trials and challenges finally made our first recipe. The next problem is to produce it in large quantities at the same time, the days of trials and errors again. We found the final product different depending on heat control and time. This repetition created our original. One day we roasted different brands of rice then surprisingly found the difference in flavor, just by chance. This chance led to our ‘dream’ that it is sure to create interesting products if we use local rice around Japan.
